Tommy certified as a Alexander Technique Teacher at Alexander Technique Training in Chicago (ATTiC) under Daria Okugawa. Tommy teaches private lessons and workshops in the Logan Square neighborhood in Chicago, and in Morton Grove. Just as the manner in which we use a musical instrument, tool, or car affects the way it works, so does the way we use our selves affect our functioning. The manner we move and live in our bodies has such a deep influence on our holistic health.
My Story
Tommy's background in music influences his teaching infusing ideas of creativity, poise, and ease. His journey started here and like many musicians he developed pain. Tommy decided to train to learn to work with his chronic pain, and more importantly, to have the tools to work with musicians with performance injuries and people with chronic pain to help their conditions.
Tommy is also a Board Certified Music Therapist working at Niles Township District for Special Education. Tommy strives to use the Alexander Technique to further enhance his skills working with this population and is constantly exploring how the technique can be developed to work with neuro-divergent populations.
